Fredriksson has had some problems with his throat and shins the last years and he now trains and competes outside the Swedish National Team with the help of his coach Janne.

Fredriksson says that he had to choose between going all out and trying to get back in top shape or just retire. He chose trying to take back a place in the National team, possibly for the coming World Cup and Vancouver Olympics 2010. Hopefully the decision to go to China and Summer Ski Sprint is something that can lead him back on this road and inspire to more great results for him in the season ahead.
