Anders Högberg won the Chinese Vasaloppet

CHANGCHUN, China

Anders Högberg became the winner of the 7th Vasaloppet China on Jan 2 2009.

-I am really happy about this victory, it means a lot to me. It was great to also be able to win a long distance race, said Anders after his victory.Before the race, the talk was mostly about if long distance specialist Fredrik Persson would defend his victory from last year or if Anders Högberg would have the power to go in the same pace.

 

Johan Edin won the sprint in Changchun

Johan Edin, competing for Kovlands SK outside of the Swedish City Sundsvall left a strong message when Tour de Ski Chinas 3rd stage was held on the morning of New Years Eve in Changchun. –This was great! Högberg won the first stage of Tour de Ski China

Anders Högberg, from IFK Umeå won the first stage of the ski tour which started off with a sprint competition in Inner Mongolia. There was no one who could threaten Högbergs victory in yesterday’s race.
