A press conference was held at the Swedish Embassy on Monday Dec 15 to inform about Tour de Ski Shangri-la stage. Present was the Swedish ambassador to China Mr Mikael Lindström, the Vice Governor of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Mr Li Xuelin, Shangri-la County Mayor Mr Xiao Xu, Chief of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Sports Bureau Mr Song Tao, Nordic Ways Founder and Honorary President Mr Gavert Waag and Secretary of the Chinese Ski Association Mr Gao Xuedong, members of the press and other guests.
We can now reveal the good news that the double Olympic Champion Bjorn Lind will take part in Summer Ski Sprint in Changbai Mountain in late May.
Bjorn made his decision last week to join the Summer Ski in China. He is experienced with competitions in China, he was here for World Cup in 2007, for Tour De Ski China and Vasaloppet in 2008, and this will be his second time in Changbai Mountain Summer Ski Sprint since he also attended the first competition last year.
The last day of the competitions in Changbai Mountain has successfully come to its end. Today’s champions Hilde G.
