The General Secretary of the Chinese Ski Association, Mr. Gao, was a proud man after Asia's first ever summer ski event. After handing over the last prices under Changbai Mountain Summer Ski event took a couple of minutes to talk about how he, and the CSA, felt about the event.
The General Secretary of the Chinese Ski Association, Mr. Gao, was a proud man after Asia’s first ever summer ski event. After handing over the last prices under Changbai Mountain Summer Ski event took a couple of minutes to talk about how he, and the CSA, felt about the event.
“I, and the CSA, are both very proud about what happened here in Changbai Mountain today. We have in
accordance with Nordic Ways arranged the first ever summer ski event ever to take place in the whole of Asia, and a successful one at that. What we at CSA now look to is the future. Together with our partners we have great plans for this place, and in the center of it all are Changbai Mountain Summer Ski Sprint. We believe that this in only a couple a years can be one of the major ski events in China, attracting elite skiers from all over the world. The reason why we believe this is possible is that the area, and climate, is perfect for training, recreation and competition. And as more and more skiers arrive, so will the level of the competition raise and it will truly be one of the top summer places for ski in the future. Looking even further we believe that with the help of Nordic Ways, Changbai Mountain can be open the whole year around, always offering elite skiers and amateurs excellent skiing possibilities”
