European skiers ready for Chinese challenge in Yakeshi

Chinese and European professional skiers are set to compete in an exciting sprint event in the beautiful setting of Yaskeshi, near Hulunbeir City in the north of Inner Mongolia on 20 June. The event marks the return of Nordic Ways' China Summer Ski Tour after a one-year-hiatus .

Twenty top skiers from countries such as Sweden, Norway, Italy and Switzerland will face tough opposition during the 1.3km sprint race, as the China Ski Association (CSA) has confirmed the participation of the top 10 in both the men's and women's categories of last winter's Chinese Winter Games in Jilin City!

The European team will be headed by the Swedish National Champion in the Team Sprint Johan Eriksson, and by Norway’s Solvig Steinsland,winner of last winter’s China Tour de Ski tour, including two stage wins in Xiwuqi (see picture).

The skiers will warm-up for the Summer Ski event in Yakeshi via the Vasa Cross-Country Running Festival in Changchun this upcoming weekend.
