Nordic Ways is very happy to announce that the FIS Summer Ski Sprint will be back with a competition in Yakeshi in Inner Mongolia on June 23rd. The race is a high-level cross-country skiing race certified by International Ski Federation (FIS). The race is jointly organized by Chinese Ski Association, Yakeshi Municipal Government and Nordic Ways. Olympic champions, top international skiers listed in the FIS ranking and members of the Chinese national team are scheduled to take part in the Yakeshi Summer Ski.

Summer Ski races were held in northern China before, from 2007 to 2013. The Summer Ski, firstly introduced to China by Nordic Ways, is a strong sprint competition in the heat of summer, made possible thanks to snow storage techniques from Europe.

Since 2003, Nordic Ways, the pioneering event management company, has been devoted to promoting the safest and most interesting ski disciplines in China. The first FIS Cross Country World Cup in China was held in Changchun in 2006, hosted by FIS, co-organized by Chinese Ski Association and organized by Changchun Municipal Government and Nordic Ways. Since then, Nordic Ways has organized 3 Cross Country World Cups. The World Cup is the highest level event that attracts plenty of athletes, audiences and media. We’re very glad to make our own contribution to this sport.

The return of Summer Ski Sprint can not only make a communication platform for Chinese athletes and international athletes, but also promote the mass participation ski sports in China.
